Project Manager
Services offered:

-    Developing and maintaining project management tools and documents etc.
-    Coordinating the recruitment, selection of staff and management of leave
-    Overseeing quality data collection in accordance with protocol / SOPs
-    Overseeing and sourcing and/or maintenance of equipment and clinical/ scientific supplies necessary for the various trials
-    Tracking and reporting study status to SAMRC (including project metrics and Finance)
-    Leading staff training where appropriate
-    Coordinating the recruitment, screening, enrolment and follow-up of participants
-    Setting up of other collaborating sites of GCRC in the Eastern Cape
-    Visiting other GCRC sites in the Eastern Cape to assess progress

Data Manager

Services offered:

-    Design, develop and validate research databases
-    Research data management
-    Quality assurance of research data
-    Liaise and provide support for data preparation, data capture, and data transfer
-    Perform basic bio-statistical analyses, working in conjunction with the study investigators
-    Perform database locks and secure shipping of data to statisticians for through statistical analysis
-    Address any queries or errors related to data
-    Ensure security of the databases, including maintaining access control, backups, access logs and software updates
-    Administer data management protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
-    Oversee data capture personnel

Ms Sorrel Pitcher
Qualitative Researcher

Services offered:

I work with the GCRC’s multidisciplinary research team to conduct qualitative research projects about gynaecological cancer in South Africa. I am currently coordinating a project that uses a holistic framework to investigate women’s experiences of their sexual functioning post treatment. I also provide qualitative research input for smaller project as well as give workshops and conduct training.
